Job Summary
The Linux System Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining Linux-based servers, ensuring system performance, reliability, and security across the IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and file systems.
• Configure and monitor services like Apache/Nginx, MySQL/PostgreSQL, and SSH.
• Automate tasks and processes using Bash, Python, or Ansible.
• Implement system updates, patches, and security configurations.
• Troubleshoot system and network issues using tools like journalctl, systemd, and tcpdump.
• Set up and manage containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Ensure compliance with security standards (e.g.,



PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).
• Collaborate on backup strategies and disaster recovery planning.

Skill Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5+ years of experience in Linux system administration.
• Robust understanding of Linux file systems, kernel parameters, and shell scripting.
• Experience with virtualization tools like KVM or VMware.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or Linux+ are a plus.
