Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English Language and Literature according to CIE syllabus requirements.
- Develop and implement assessment strategies aligned with Cambridge standards.
- Prepare students thoroughly for IGCSE, AS, and A-Level exams.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students.
- Use a variety of teaching methodologies and resources, including digital tools.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
- Participate in curriculum planning, departmental meetings, and career development.
- Support extracurricular activities such as debating, writing clubs, or literary events.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and assessments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or related field.
- Teaching certification/license and/or Cambridge teaching qualifications preferred.
- Proven experience teaching Cambridge English Language and Literature syllabus.
- Strong understanding of CIE exam format, assessment criteria, and standards.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate international student cohorts.
- Proficiency in integrating technology into lessons.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CELTA, DELTA, or equivalent teaching certification.
- Experience with international or British curricula.
- Additional skills in educational technology or e-learning platforms.
- Experience mentoring or training junior teachers.
