Role Overview Mercor is collaborating with aleading AI lab on a large-scale AI training initiative focused onimproving political analysis, civic reasoning, and policyinterpretation in advanced language models. We’re seekingexperienced Politics experts to contribute by creating andevaluating politics-related prompts and responses. This is amultilingual chance. We are specifically seeking experts whoare fluent and deeply engaged in one or more of the followinglanguages: Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Russian, German,Arabic, Thai, Tamil, or Hindi. Importantly, we are not looking fortranslation ability alone. Candidates must have sustainedengagement with political discourse within their linguistic andcultural context — including familiarity with local politicalsystems, party structures, electoral processes, public policydebates, political history, and media landscapes. This role isideal for serious political enthusiasts, policy followers, civicresearchers, writers, or dedicated hobbyists who activelyparticipate in political discussions and analysis in their languageecosystem. 2. Key Responsibilities Author realisticpolitics-related prompts spanning political systems, comparativepolitics, public policy, elections, governance structures, andpolitical theory Review and revise AI-generated responses forfactual accuracy, contextual nuance, neutrality, and clarity Writehigh-quality human-authored “gold” responses for complex politicalor policy-oriented questions Create controlled prompt variationsthat test subtle differences in political context, institutionalstructure, historical period,



or policy framing Evaluate outputsacross different tones (analytical, explanatory, neutralbriefing-style) and instruction constraints Identify model failurecases involving factual inaccuracies, oversimplification, partisanframing, or culturally inconsistent interpretations 3. IdealQualifications 2+ years of sustained, serious engagement withpolitics as a hobby or independent study pursuit (e.g., policyanalysis, political writing, civic engagement, participation inpolitical forums or research communities) Active participation inpolitical discourse within at least one of the following languages:Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Russian, German, Arabic, Thai,Tamil, or Hindi Strong familiarity with political institutions,policy debates, and media ecosystems within your language andcultural context Ability to articulate political analysis clearly,objectively, and with contextual depth in the target languageStrong written communication skills and thoughtful, balancededitorial judgment 4.
