About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to join our growing team and support medium to large-scale Oil & Gas, EPC, Petrochemical, and Energy projects. This is a fully remote (virtual) position based in India. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate, multi-disciplinary cost estimates, supporting tender submissions, identifying cost optimisation opportunities, and working closely with project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare multi-disciplinary cost estimates for medium and large Oil & Gas, EPC projects using appropriate estimating tools and systems.
- Develop conceptual, preliminary, and definitive cost estimates throughout various project phases.
- Review project scopes, engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documentation to prepare accurate estimates.
- Analyse project requirements and recommend cost-effective engineering and execution solutions.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement teams to ensure accurate and high-quality estimates.
- Identify, document, and communicate all estimating assumptions, qualifications, and clarifications.
- Support project development by providing estimating input for project selection, feasibility, and optimisation studies.
- Identify opportunities to improve project execution, reduce costs, and enhance capital efficiency.
- Assist project teams in identifying, evaluating, and managing estimate risks and contingencies.
- Support procurement activities by performing cost analysis and providing recommendations for vendor and subcontractor selection.
- Evaluate supplier quotations, vendor proposals, and contracts to ensure commercial competitiveness.
- Maintain estimating databases, historical cost information, and benchmarking data.




- Prepare professional cost reports and presentations for internal management and clients.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6 to 8 years' experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Project Management environments.
- Minimum 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in cost estimation, tendering, or proposal execution.
- Strong knowledge of cost estimating methodologies, budgeting, quantity take-offs, and cost analysis.
- Understanding of project lifecycle phases and capital cost estimation.
- Knowledge of risk management principles and cost contingency development.
- Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements within the energy sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills

- Experience using cost estimating software such as Aspen Capital Cost Estimator (Aspen CCE) or similar estimating tools.
- Experience working on EPC projects.
- Knowledge of procurement, contract evaluation, and commercial analysis.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs;, and technical specifications.
- Strong organisational, planning, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
