Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CAE Engineer with strong expertise in battery crash and durability simulations for automotive applications. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in crashworthiness, vibration analysis, FE modelling, and battery safety evaluations using industry-standard CAE tools.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform crash, crush, drop, and vibration simulations for battery systems.
- Develop, build, and maintain high-quality FE models for crash and durability analysis.
- Execute simulations using PAM-CRASH, LS-DYNA, and ABAQUS.
- Perform pre-processing, meshing, model setup, post-processing, and reporting activities.
- Analyze simulation results, identify failure modes, and recommend design improvements.
- Correlate simulation results with physical test data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to ensure timely project delivery.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.

- Robust experience in Battery Crash and Durability Analysis.
- Hands-on experience with:
- PAM-CRASH
- LS-DYNA
- ABAQUS
- ANSA
- META-POST
- ANIMATOR
- NASTRAN
- FEMFAT
- Experience in meshing of 1D, 2D, and 3D elements.
- Good understanding of crashworthiness, shock and vibration, material behaviour, and non-linear analysis.
- Experience with CAD data interpretation and FE model development.




- Knowledge of battery safety concepts and failure mechanisms.
- Experience with weld, adhesive, and fastener modelling is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

- Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering.
- Experience in automotive OEM or passenger vehicle programs.
- Knowledge of ECE R100 and FMVSS regulations is an advantage.
- Exposure to Python scripting and Jira is preferred.
- German language proficiency (B1 level or above) will be an added advantage.
