Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and monitor the daily activities of housekeeping staff across all hospital departments.
- Prepare duty rosters, allocate work assignments, and monitor staff attendance.
- Ensure cleanliness of patient rooms, ICUs, operation theatres, emergency department, OPD, laboratories, wards, corridors, waiting areas, offices, and public spaces.
- Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols, terminal cleaning procedures, and disinfection schedules.
- Monitor segregation and handling of biomedical waste in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections and quality audits of housekeeping services.
- Train housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, PPE usage, chemical handling, infection control, and safety practices.
- Ensure adequate availability and proper storage of housekeeping materials, equipment, and cleaning chemicals.
- Coordinate with nursing, maintenance, infection control, and other departments to resolve housekeeping-related issues promptly.
- Report maintenance defects, safety hazards, and equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department.




- Maintain housekeeping records, checklists, inventory logs, attendance registers, and inspection reports.
- Address patient and visitor complaints related to housekeeping services and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, occupational health and safety requirements, fire safety protocols, and NABH standards.

Qualifications

- 12th pass or Any diploma or Any graduate.

Experience

- Fresher or Experienced.

Skills

- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of hospital housekeeping procedures, IPC practices, and biomedical waste management.
- Familiarity with NABH standards and quality management systems.
- Valuable communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle emergencies, prioritize tasks, and solve operational issues effectively.
