Job Summary

The Room Boy is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and servicing guest rooms and assigned areas to meet the cleanliness, comfort, and quality standards of a 4-star hotel. The role ensures guests experience a clean, safe, and pleasant stay by delivering efficient housekeeping services with professionalism and courtesy.

Key Responsibilities

- Clean and prepare assigned guest rooms according to hotel standards and daily work schedules.
- Make beds, replace bed linens, towels, and pillow covers, and ensure proper room presentation.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, showers, bathtubs, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
- Vacuum carpets, mop floors, dust furniture, clean windows, and remove waste from guest rooms.
- Replenish guest amenities such as toiletries, bottled water, tea/coffee supplies, tissues, and stationery.
- Check the functionality of room equipment and report maintenance issues or damages to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Maintain the cleanliness of corridors, pantries, service areas, and other assigned public spaces.
- Handle guest requests promptly and courteously, such as providing extra towels, pillows, or amenities.
- Follow hotel procedures for lost and found items, ensuring proper documentation and secure handling.
- Use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and machinery safely and in accordance with hotel policies.




- Keep housekeeping carts stocked, clean, and organized throughout the shift.
- Ensure all rooms are serviced within the established time standards.
- Coordinate with the Front Office to update room status and report ready rooms.
- Maintain guest privacy, confidentiality, and security at all times.
- Participate in deep-cleaning schedules and special housekeeping projects as assigned.
- Follow all hotel policies related to hygiene, sanitation, fire safety, and occupational health and safety.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly, respectful service to guests and colleagues.

Qualifications

- Certificate or training in Housekeeping or Hospitality is an advantage.
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping is preferred, but fresh candidates may be considered.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
