Job Title: Design and Development Engineer

Location: Kandi, Sangareddy, Hyderabad.

Reports To: R&D; Manager / Design Team Head

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Design Engineer with 1–3 years of experience in product design and development. The candidate will be responsible for designing mechanical components, preparing manufacturing drawings, coordinating with vendors and production teams, and supporting recent product development activities.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of sheet metal, fabrication and manufacturing processes, especially in the EV and BESS.

Key Responsibilities

● Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and products as per project requirements.

● Prepare 2D manufacturing drawings with GD&T; and BOMs.

● Develop sheet metal, fabrication and structural components.

● Coordinate with production, procurement, quality, and vendors for product development activities.

● Conduct fitment verification and resolve manufacturing-related design issues.

● Support prototype development and testing activities.

● Perform design modifications based on testing and field feedback.

● Ensure designs comply with manufacturing feasibility and cost optimization.

● Follow engineering standards, design guidelines, and documentation processes.





● Maintain proper revision control of drawings and technical documents.

● Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.

Required Skills

● Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles.

● Good understanding of:

○ Sheet metal design

○ Fabrication design

○ Welding and assembly concepts

○ DFMA (Design for Manufacturing & Assembly)

● Knowledge of GD&T; and tolerance stack-up analysis.

● Understanding of manufacturing processes and production constraints.

● Ability to troubleshoot fitment and assembly issues.

● Good communication and coordination skills.

Software Skills

Candidates should have hands-on experience in one or more of the following:

● CATIA V5

● NX CAD

● AutoCAD

● MS Excel and MS Office tools

Qualification

● Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Preferred Industry Experience

● Electric Vehicle (EV)

● Automobile

● Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

● Sheet Metal Manufacturing

● Fabrication Industry

Experience

● 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical/product design.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
