Job Description: Quality Manager – Stainless Steel Welded Pipe

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and oversee all quality assurance and

quality control activities in a stainless steel welded pipe manufacturing facility. The ideal

candidate should have strong expertise in welding processes, quality management systems,

inspection standards, and customer quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) functions for stainless steel

welded pipe manufacturing.

- Ensure compliance with applicable international standards such as ASTM, ASME, API,

EN, ISO, and customer specifications.

- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) in accordance

with ISO 9001 requirements.

- Monitor incoming raw materials, in-process inspections, and final product quality.
- Oversee Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities, including Eddy Current Testing (ECT),

Hydro Testing, PMI, and other inspection methods as applicable.

- Review and approve Inspection Test Plans (ITP), Material Test Certificates (MTC), and

quality documentation.

- Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for

quality issues.

- Manage customer complaints, internal non-conformities, and supplier quality

performance.

- Lead internal audits, customer audits, and third-party certification audits.
- Collaborate with Production, Maintenance,



and Supply Chain teams to improve product

quality and manufacturing efficiency.

- Monitor quality KPIs and prepare management reports.
- Train and mentor quality team members on quality standards, inspection techniques,

and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related

discipline.

- 10–15 years of experience in quality management within the stainless steel welded pipe

or tube manufacturing industry.

- Strong knowledge of TIG, Laser, HF/ERW welding processes and stainless steel

metallurgy.

- Hands-on experience with NDT techniques, dimensional inspection, calibration, and

laboratory testing.

- Sound understanding of ASTM, ASME, API, ISO 9001, PED, and customer-specific quality

requirements.

- Experience handling customer audits and certification audits.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

- Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt or Lean Manufacturing certification.
- Certified Internal Auditor (ISO 9001).
- Exposure to ERP/SAP and quality documentation systems.
- Strong knowledge of statistical quality tools, SPC, FMEA, 8D, PPAP, and CAPA.
