Job Description

Senior Python Developer with Linux Pan India · Full-time · Hybrid

About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer with strong expertise in Linux systems to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications, automation solutions, and backend services. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Python programming, Linux administration, scripting, troubleshooting, and cloud-based environments. The role involves working with various teams to ensure high availability and performance of applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and automation solutions.
- Develop REST APIs and backend services using Python frameworks.
- Write efficient, reusable, and testable Python code.
- Work extensively in Linux environments for deployment, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
- Develop shell scripts for automation and operational tasks.
- Troubleshoot application, server, and Linux OS issues.
- Optimize application performance and ensure high availability.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, and Development teams.
- Participate in code reviews and follow best coding practices.
- Support production deployments and incident resolution.

Requirements

- Have 8+ years of experience in Python development.
- Possess strong programming expertise in Python.
- Have extensive experience working on Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS).
- Demonstrate strong Shell/Bash scripting skills.
- Have experience with REST APIs and microservices.




- Have good knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle).
- Have experience with Git version control.
- Know multithreading, multiprocessing, and asynchronous programming.
- Be familiar with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Have experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Possess strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Have a good understanding of networking concepts.
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Good to Have

- Have experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Know Ansible, Terraform, or other automation tools.
- Have experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Be familiar with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, or Splunk.
- Understand security best practices in Linux environments.
