Skills:

- C/Linux experience with Linux (must have), Python (good to have)
- Storage protocols knowledge - NFS and SMB
- Exposure to block storage, object storage systems
- Valuable debugging/troubleshooting skills
- Good hands on experience on Linux system administration activities (E.g. Analyzing kern.log/dmesg, journalctl, performing low level drive formats, partition management, exposure to persistent memory/NVDIMM/Optane, kernel modules etc.)
- Hands-on experience with linux tools. E.g. dmesg, smartctl, lsblk, proc, strace, gdb, iostat, iperf, tcpdump, gdb, sar, nodup, dd, sed, awk, grep, wireshark etc
- Build knowledge and related tools: Buildroot/yocto, patching linux kernel, ISO generation, bootloader knowledge, makefile, SBOM, ATF framework, pytest etc

Please note,



while this might be a heavy list given the experience level, I'm looking for a decent overlap (50 - 70%). Secondly, they need to be told upfront that this is a sustenance role with no active dev tasks.

- There is a steep learning curve before customer data access will be given.
- Post that it's purely going to be a customer ticket oriented work.
- This will involve working with live customer data, recovering bad sectors, dealing with DL (Data loss), Data Unavailability (DU) scenarios, performing administrative procedures, rebuilding index drives, scrapping HDD for recovering data, Data replication, Disaster Recovery etc
