Job Description: We have an immediate opening for a Java Developer to join our growing team of Big Data developers. You will be responsible for Java/Java EE application development while working in the full software development lifecycle, from design to testing and implementation. We are looking for people who are committed, flexible, and with the right attitude to be part of an innovative organization.

Responsibilities:

- Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high availability and performance.
- Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
- Write well-designed, testable, efficient code.
- Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications.
- Prepare and produce releases of software components.
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.





Mandatory Skills:

- Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- 3+ years of experience with hands-on Java development
- Hands-on experience in developing applications using Java EE platforms
- Experience on the Linux platform will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to Hadoop and/or HBase will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Relational Databases and SQL will be an added advantage.

- Good written and verbal communication skills
