- Analyze inventory data, sales forecasts, and market trends to accurately estimate future product requirements.
- Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and data reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of stock records.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to coordinate shipment and delivery schedules and resolve discrepancies.
- Oversee the training and daily activities of inventory staff to ensure compliance with all control procedures.
- Manage the disposition of surplus, obsolete, or expired inventory through designated channels to minimize financial loss.
- Generate and present detailed reports on inventory metrics, such as turnover rates, stock levels, and adjustment variances, to management.
- Assure compliance with all state and federal guidelines associated with the management of specific types of inventory.
- Evaluate the efficiency of inventory control procedures and propose strategic adjustments to reduce costs and improve supply chain logistics.
