Job Description – Java Production Support Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Java Production Support Engineer with 5–7 years of experience to support and maintain critical production applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Java, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a 24x7 production support environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide production support for Java-based applications and ensure high system availability.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
- Analyze, debug, and resolve incidents within defined SLAs.
- Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve application issues.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
- Support application deployments, patches, and production releases.
- Create and maintain support documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
- Participate in on-call and 24x7 production support rotations.

Required Skills

- 5–7 years of experience in Java application support or development.
- Robust knowledge of Java and application troubleshooting.
- Experience in Production Support for enterprise applications.
- Good understanding of Unix/Linux environments.
- Basic knowledge of Shell Scripting.




- Strong analytical, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work in a 24x7 production support environment.

Good to Have

- Experience with incident management and monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of SQL and database troubleshooting.
- Exposure to ITIL processes and support methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications.
