Job Profile – Spectro Operator (Steel Industry)

- Operate and handle Optical Emission Spectrometer (OES/Spectro) for chemical analysis of steel and alloy samples.
- Prepare samples properly through cutting, grinding, and surface preparation before testing.
- Analyze chemical composition and verify elements as per required grade/specification (EN31, D2, H13, HSS M2, etc.).
- Maintain accurate test reports, heat-wise analysis records, and sample identification.
- Coordinate with Production, Melting, Quality Control, and Metallurgy teams for grade confirmation and corrective actions.
- Ensure proper calibration, standardization, and routine maintenance of the Spectro machine.
- Identify abnormal test results and immediately report deviations to the concerned department.




- Follow quality, safety, and laboratory procedures at all times.

Qualification: Diploma/B.Tech in Metallurgy, Mechanical, or related field.

Experience: 2–5 years of relevant experience in a steel plant, foundry, forging, or alloy steel manufacturing industry. Experience in operating Spectro/OES machines is preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
