Job Summary

The Quality Control professional will be responsible for ensuring that incoming raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods meet the company's quality standards and applicable industry requirements. The role involves inspection, testing, root cause analysis, process improvements, customer complaint handling, and implementation of quality management systems.

Key Responsibilities In-coming Quality Control (IQC)

- Inspect incoming raw materials and bought-out components.
- Verify supplier quality against approved specifications.
- Maintain incoming inspection records.
- Coordinate with suppliers for quality-related issues.

In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)

- Monitor quality at every stage of production.
- Conduct process inspections and identify deviations.
- Ensure adherence to approved work instructions and SOPs.
- Minimize rejection, rework, and process variation.

Final Quality Control (FQC)

- Inspect finished products before dispatch.
- Verify dimensions, functionality,



appearance, and packaging quality.
- Approve products for shipment.
- Maintain inspection reports and test records.

Customer Quality

- Investigate customer complaints.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Monitor complaint closure effectiveness.

Quality Systems

- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
- Prepare documents required for internal and external audits.
- Prepare and maintain quality manuals, SOPs, formats, and records.
- Participate in surveillance and certification audits.

Continuous Improvement

- Implement Quality Improvement Projects.
- Drive Kaizen, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Poka-Yoke initiatives.
- Reduce rejection, rework, and customer complaints.
- Improve First Pass Yield (FPY).

Laboratory & Testing

- Perform routine testing of electrical products as per standards.
- Ensure calibration of measuring instruments.
- Maintain testing records and reports.

Vendor Quality

- Evaluate supplier quality performance.
- Conduct supplier audits when required.
- Support vendor development activities.

Team Management

- Lead and mentor the Quality team.
- Allocate inspection responsibilities.
- Conduct employee training on quality standards.
- Monitor departmental KPIs.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Quality Control systems.
- Good understanding of ISO 9001 : 2015 Quality Management System.
- Knowledge of 7 QC Tools.
- Hands-on experience in Root Cause Analysis (5 Why,



Fishbone Diagram).
- CAPA implementation.
- Knowledge of Incoming, In-process, and Final Inspection.
- Understanding of electrical product manufacturing and quality standards.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MIS reporting.
- Ability to prepare dashboards and quality reports.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma in Engineering with relevant experience may also be considered.
- Certification in ISO 9001 Internal Auditor, Lean, Six Sigma, or Quality Tools will be an added advantage.

Language Requirements

- Marathi – Mandatory
- Hindi – Mandatory
- English – Good written and verbal communication

- Experience in handling quality systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid leadership and decision-making skills.
- Experience in customer audits and supplier quality management.
- Good presentation and reporting skills.
