QUALIFICATION Basic Qualification Education Vocational Training DMLT BSC MLT Advanced Qualification Certification Specialist Training DME approved EXPERIENCE Minimum Experience 5 years Specific Relevant Experience 5 years COMPETECIES Functional Skills and Capabilities Behavioural Positive Attitude Attention to detail Timeliness Strictly procedure oriented Courteous and friendly Punctual Functional Awareness about NABH guidelines Knowledge of technician protocols Basic knowledge of computers Awareness of Blood Compatibility Objective To assist and carry out the process of transfusion for patients donors and perform various administrative activities in the Blood Bank Key Responsibilities 1 Donor Patient Related Assist in Donor motivation activities Perform phlebotomy and related donor room activities Identifies and communicates abnormal test reports by alerting supervisory personnel safe disposal of TTI reactive units as per Biomedical waste management regulation Ensures the issue of blood components units for patient care Assist in Donor motivation activities Perform phlebotomy and related donor room activities Assist in adverse donor reaction management 2 Testing Area Component management Understands blood bank methods demonstrates knowledge of testing processes which includes donor screening blood grouping cross matching TTI screening Organize work by matching blood requests with test tube labelling sorting samples checking labelling logging samples cross matching and reserving units ready for issue keeping work surfaces clean and orderly Performs blood component separation labelling quality control of blood components produced 3 Administrative Perform duties as assigned by the BB MO Inventory and stock management All activities records to be maintained as per relevant SOP Document all the necessary information in the required blood bank records in the respective work area Prepare periodic reports Maintains donor patient confidence by keeping laboratory information confidential 4 Quality Related Training Assist in preparation of SOPs Maintains quality results by running standards and controls verifying equipment function through routine equipment maintenance and advanced trouble shooting calibrating equipment utilizing approved testing procedures monitoring quality control measures and protocols Perform maintain records of QC procedures related to reagent kits equipment s Responsible for in house staff training 5 Biosafety Infection Control Ensure Universal precautions are followed strictly Ensuring BMW management Infection control practices 6 Department Related Discarding TTI reactive and outdated blood units based on BMW management system Ensure emergency blood issue without any delay Inventory and stock management Document all the necessary information in the required blood bank records in the respective work area Ensuring BMW management Job Type Full time Pay 25 000 00 - 30 000 00 per month Benefits Health insurance
