The Safety Engineer - Civil is responsible for implementing monitoring and enforcing health safety and environmental HSE standards on construction sites The role ensures compliance with local regulations company policies and international safety standards to maintain a protected working environment for all site personnel Key Responsibilities Implement and enforce site health safety and environmental HSE plans Conduct regular site safety inspections and risk assessments Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations and company policies Monitor high-risk activities such as excavation lifting working at height and formwork Conduct safety inductions toolbox talks and training sessions Investigate accidents incidents and near misses prepare reports Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment on site Coordinate with project managers engineers and subcontractors on safety matters Review method statements and risk assessments MSRA Maintain HSE documentation records and reports Liaise with safety auditors consultants and regulatory authorities Qualifications Bachelor s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering Diploma Degree in Occupational Health Safety or NEBOSH IOSH certification preferred Experience 3-8 years of experience as a Safety Engineer or HSE Officer in civil construction Experience in high-rise buildings infrastructure or industrial projects preferred Skills Competencies Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and standards Familiarity with OSHA ISO 45001 and local safety laws Valuable communication and training skills Strong observation reporting and documentation abilities Ability to work independently on site Proficiency in MS Office and safety reporting tools Working Conditions Site-based role May require extended hours and weekend work Reporting To Project Manager Job Type Full-time Pay 12 518 98 - 49 355 73 per month Work Location In person
