We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our content production team on a six-month contract. The ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling, has a strong visual sense, and is capable of producing high-quality long-form and short-form content for digital platforms.

You will work closely with our content, marketing, and production teams to create engaging videos that showcase Indian art, craft, culture, and design.

Please ensure your portfolio highlights projects that best represent your storytelling ability, editing style, motion graphics, and overall post-production expertise. Key Responsibilities

Edit long-form masterclasses, documentaries, interviews, artist stories, and educational content while maintaining strong narrative flow and visual consistency. Create engaging short-form videos, including Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, promotional films, advertisements, and social media campaigns. Organize, manage, and archive project files, footage, assets, and backups following established workflows.

Sync audio, clean dialogue, balance sound levels, and incorporate background music and sound effects where required. Perform color correction and basic color grading to ensure visual consistency across projects. Design and animate titles, lower thirds, motion graphics, captions, and text-based animations using Adobe After Effects.

Add subtitles, transitions, graphics, and other visual enhancements to improve viewer engagement and accessibility. Export and deliver videos in multiple formats optimized for various digital platforms and client requirements. Collaborate closely with producers, content strategists,



designers, and videographers throughout the post-production process.

Incorporate feedback efficiently while maintaining quality and meeting project timelines. Ensure all deliverables meet the organization's creative, technical, and branding standards. Stay updated with emerging editing techniques, social media trends, and platform best practices to continually improve content quality.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Video Editor in an agency, production house, media company, or similar environment. Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro. Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and animation.

Understanding of color correction and color grading using Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve. Strong storytelling, editing rhythm, pacing, and visual composition skills. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a remote team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work within deadlines.

Preferred qualifications

Experience editing documentaries, educational content, cultural content, or branded storytelling. Familiarity with YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other social media video formats and platform-specific best practices. Understanding of current social media trends, audience engagement patterns, and short-form content styles. Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator for asset preparation.

Experience working with shared cloud storage, collaborative workflows, and project management tools.
