About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer Intern to help design Vizdea’s mobile and web experiences.

You will work closely with the founding and product teams to understand user requirements, improve existing interfaces, and design simple, modern, and intuitive experiences for the platform.

This role is suitable for beginners who have a good understanding of UI/UX fundamentals and a portfolio that demonstrates their design thinking.

Responsibilities

- Design user interfaces for Vizdea’s mobile app and web platform.
- Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
- Design onboarding, profiles, networking, communities, messaging, events, and discovery experiences.
- Improve usability, navigation, accessibility, and visual consistency.
- Conduct basic competitor and user-experience research.
- Build and maintain reusable components and a consistent design system.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate design implementation.
- Review existing screens and recommend UX improvements.
- Participate in product discussions and contribute new ideas.

Requirements




- Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles.
- Working knowledge of Figma.
- Ability to design responsive interfaces for mobile and web.
- Understanding of typography, spacing, colour, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Ability to create wireframes and clickable prototypes.
- A portfolio containing personal, academic, freelance, or internship projects.
- Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and work in an early-stage startup environment.
- Good communication, creativity, and attention to detail.

Good to Have
- Experience designing social networking, community, SaaS, or startup-related products.
- Basic understanding of design systems and developer handoff.
- Familiarity with mobile app design guidelines.
- Interest in startups, entrepreneurship, professional networking, and technology.
