A UAV Test Pilot is a professional responsible for conducting flight tests of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) to evaluate their performance, reliability, and safety. They ensure compliance with design specifications, test current systems, and provide critical feedback for improvements. This role requires expertise in UAV operations, troubleshooting, and adherence to aviation safety standards.

Responsibilities

Perform pre-flight checks through thorough inspections of the UAV platform, sensors, payloads, and communication systems to ensure everything is functioning correctly and is ready for flight.

Collaborate with the co-pilot and other team members to plan flight paths, define mission objectives, and ensure compliance with regulations and safety protocols for smooth mission execution.

Perform post-flight checks, download flight data, and contribute to post-mission reports.

Perform routine maintenance, report technical issues to the respective teams, and ensure the system's functionality and safety.





Stay informed about and comply with relevant regulations governing UAV operations across different regions and applications.

Prepare technical write-ups, user manuals, and maintenance procedures.

PID tuning knowledge is mandatory.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Proficiency in operating flight control software and Ground Control Stations (GCS).

Extensive experience in piloting Fixed Wing UAVs.

Experience operating drones in high-altitude environments.

Strong knowledge of UAV PID tuning.

Exceptional hand-eye coordination, quick decision-making abilities, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Trilingual proficiency along with demonstrated leadership qualities is preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
