Location : Ameerpet The Radiology Typist is responsible for accurately typing, formatting, and preparing radiology reports dictated by radiologists. The role requires excellent typing speed, attention to detail, knowledge of medical terminology, and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality while ensuring timely report delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Type and format radiology reports from dictated audio or handwritten notes.
- Review reports for spelling, grammar, and medical terminology accuracy.
- Ensure reports are completed within the defined turnaround time (TAT).
- Coordinate with radiologists to clarify incomplete or unclear dictations.
- Upload finalized reports into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) or Hospital Information System (HIS).
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with organizational policies.
- Organize and maintain digital records of radiology reports.
- Assist in report printing,
scanning, and document management as required.
- Communicate with internal departments regarding report status when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Any Graduate or Diploma.
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience as a Radiology Typist.
Skills Required
- Excellent typing speed (minimum 40–50 WPM preferred).
- Valuable knowledge of radiology and medical terminology.
- Strong English grammar and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word and basic computer applications.
- Familiarity with LIS/HIS/RIS software is an added advantage.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet report turnaround times.
