Looking for a Finance Manager for the H125 Helicopter Final Assembly Line (FAL) at Vemagal.
Educational Qualification
- Chartered Accountant (CA)qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)
Work Experience
- Total Experience: 8 to 10 years post-qualification in Finance & Accounting
- Manufacturing Industry: Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Preferred Sectors: Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, Heavy Engineering, or Capital Goods manufacturing
- Team Leadership: Demonstrated experience in managing and developing a finance team
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems : SAP FI/CO module strongly preferred
- Advanced MS Excel, MIS dashboards, and financial modelling
- Strong knowledge of Ind AS / IFRS accounting standards
- Deep understanding of Indian tax laws : GST, TDS, Income Tax, Customs
- Experience with GRIR reconciliation, P2P and O2C processes
- Familiarity with Fixed Asset Accounting and capitalisation

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, P&L;, , and cash flow statements
- Perform comprehensive General Ledger (GL) review and ensure correctness and integrity of books of accounts
- Drive and manage month-end and year-end closing processes with zero tolerance for delays
- Prepare and present Management Information System (MIS) reports for plant and corporate leadership
- Support internal audits, statutory audits, and external audits; liaise with auditors for timely completion
- Ensure compliance with Ind AS / IFRS and applicable accounting standards
2.Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Oversee end-to-end invoice processing, GRIR (Goods Receipt / Invoice Receipt) reconciliation, and vendor account reviews
- Monitor payable ageing reports and ensure timely payments to vendors to maintain supply chain health
- Review and clear vendor advances, debit/credit notes, and outstanding balances
- Ensure strict compliance with Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes
- Monitor receivables ageing and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for timely collections
3.Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Lead the preparation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) in coordination with department heads and plant leadership
- Develop and maintain rolling forecasts and periodic financial outlooks
- Track actuals versus budget on a monthly basis; identify variances and recommend corrective actions
- Support business cases, investment decisions,
and capital expenditure approvals with financial analysis
4.Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Goods & Services Tax (GST), returns, reconciliations, and input credit management
- Manage Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), deductions, payments, returns, and Form 16/16A issuance
- Handle Income Tax assessments, notices, and filings in coordination with tax consultants
- Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory obligations, PF, ESIC, Qualified Tax, Customs Duty
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, tax departments, and external auditors for assessments and inspections
5.Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Monitor daily and weekly cash flows; maintain adequate liquidity for plant operations
- Prepare short-term and medium-term cash flow forecasts and working capital projections
- Optimise fund utilisation and minimise idle cash while ensuring operational requirements are met
- Coordinate with banking partners for banking facilities, fund transfers, and credit arrangements
- Support treasury operations including FX management if applicable to import procurement
6.Fixed Assets & Internal Controls
- Manage end-to-end fixed asset accounting, capitalisation, depreciation, disposals, and impairment testing
- Ensure proper recording, physical verification, and tracking of all plant assets in the asset register
- Design and strengthen internal financial controls and SOPs to prevent leakages and ensure compliance
- Coordinate physical asset verification exercises and resolve discrepancies
7.Team Management & Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of five finance professionals across AP, AR, GL, and compliance functions
- Allocate responsibilities effectively, set clear KPIs, and monitor performance against objectives
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development within the team
- Build a high-performance, process-oriented finance function capable of supporting plant growth
