Senior Director, Marketing and Corporate Affairs (HCA Healthcare - India)
Position Summary The HCA Healthcare - India Senior Director, Marketing and Corporate Affairs (M&CA;) will drive execution of strategic communications, marketing and community engagement activities. This includes, but is not limited to, internal and external communication, media and public relations, marketing strategy execution, community engagement (including regulatory compliance, strategic partnerships and colleague community engagement), and crisis management.
With strategic direction and guidance provided by the corporate M&CA; team, he/she will oversee the activation of the HCA Healthcare - India brand and will ensure alignment of marketing, communication and community engagement strategies with applicable local and enterprise goals.
This position reports directly to the HCA Healthcare - India site lead and will work closely with HCA Healthcare’s Chief Communications Officer. This position cultivates strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholder groups to ensure alignment and integration of messages, and guides key leadership in doing the same. Local communications, marketing, creative and community engagement leadership roles report directly to the HCA Healthcare - India Senior Director, Marketing and Corporate Affairs.

Major Responsibilities: Communication – Internal and External Consults with key leaders to define and address communication needs, and develops and implements programs to deliver key messages.
Provides internal and external messaging for division-wide channels, initiatives and issues.
Identifies opportunities for GCN site lead to communicate with internal/external audiences, and advises leadership team on internal/external communication strategies.
Oversees the development of speeches, articles, personal correspondence and other materials on behalf of site lead and other key executives as needed.
Is knowledgeable of and helps navigate labor union, state political and regulatory environments in support of the Labor and Government Relations teams.
Leads communications working groups in the development and execution of internal communications initiatives and programs on behalf of executive leadership such as organizational changes and current or existing campaigns.
Coordinates with corporate and local communications and community engagement team members to ensure alignment and consistency of messages within and between facilities.
Helps vet, hire and direct outside partner agencies/contractors on internal and external messaging (for all M&CA; areas).
Manages and implements external communication activities, specifically in the areas of media relations, public relations, community relations and crisis management.
Media and Public Relations Manages the work of communications team and works collaboratively with them to develop and align internal communication efforts and implement outreach efforts to gain earned media that protects and promotes the brand.
Monitors major issues and develops communication strategies to address them; leads team in generating press releases and provides consultation, content, editing and approval; leads crisis and issues management plans; and helps develop statements and talking points.
Evaluates and orchestrates speaking engagements and high-level key notes at community and press events.
Establishes a framework for measurement of PR, Earned Media,
and owned communications efforts.
Crisis Management Works with the leadership and communication team to manage and implement approved crisis communications plan, including spokesperson identification, command center staffing, serves as Chief Communications Officer, media talking points, media coordination, and internal and external messaging.
Works with corporate media team on any media that may impact the HCA Healthcare enterprise.
Marketing Works closely with the Corporate Brand and Marketing teams to execute marketing strategies in alignment with local objectives and to identify operational readiness and best use case.
Presents monthly reports on all HCA Healthcare - India marketing activities. Understands which metrics are most important to executive leadership. Communicates results and recommendations in a storytelling style that is compelling and memorable to executive audiences.
Collaborates with Creative Services team to develop and execute high-quality, brand-aligned creative materials that support campaigns, communications and strategic initiatives.
Serves as a liaison between internal stakeholders, vendors and Creative Services, balancing creative input with business priorities.
Ensures marketing assets are optimized for their intended channels (print, digital, social, internal, external).
Manages location social media channels content, performance, and responses utilizing enterprise best practices.
Partners with Digital marketing teams on website content, structure and performance.
Defining and Managing Brand Strategy With guidance and support from Enterprise Brand team, clearly articulates and champions the HCA Healthcare enterprise brand strategy and impact on internal / external stakeholders.
Works closely with the Enterprise Brand team to oversee and co-champion the activation of the HCA Healthcare -India brand. Ensures that resources and strategies align under the market brand. Works with Enterprise Brand team to create interim branding solutions for those markets with separate brands and the incorporation of HCA Healthcare affiliation.
Builds a deep understanding of enterprise and market brand standards, and is accountable for upholding these standards. Builds an accountability structure within HCA Healthcare - India to ensure compliance with brand standards.
Monitors and enforces brand standard compliance across HCA Healthcare – India.
Community Engagement and Sponsorships Partners with the Corporate AVP, Community Engagement to manage HCA Healthcare - India’s community engagement plan and strategies, including the implementation and maintenance of local philanthropic efforts and participation in national partnerships.
Actively builds relationships with key opinion leaders, both internally and externally, including in the community and other external organizations to promote HCA Healthcare - India.
In partnership with the Corporate Community Engagement team, coordinates and manages local sponsorships including negotiation of sponsorship benefits and planning community partnership strategies.
Works with Community Engagement to identify opportunities to showcase HCA Healthcare - India’s involvement in community relations and other charitable activities through earned media.
Represents HCA Healthcare - India at key community functions and events, and serves directly in community and civic roles in a leadership capacity.
Works with the GCN Leadership Team,
India Corporate Board and CSR Committee to formulate and recommend the CSR Policy, while ensuring we meet local regulations.
Website and Digital Content Oversees the team responsible for website migration and digital content editing.
Partners with corporate marketing services and information technology teams to ensure projects align with enterprise infrastructure, branding and compliance requirements.
Manages digital governance standards, ensuring accessibility, SEO best practices and quality assurance for web content.
Ensures team’s work reflects the organization’s mission, values, and brand standards, while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
Other Responsibilities Serves as the manager and leader of the HCA Healthcare - India M&CA; team. Coaches and develops M&CA; colleagues.
Other duties as assigned in alignment with Marketing and Corporate Affairs strategies and objectives.

Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree
Required Master's degree
Preferred 10+ years of experience in a related position/field

Required Ability to manage cross-functional digital projects with information technology, marketing, creative and compliance teams
Required Experience managing teams of digital specialists, including mentoring, workload balancing and performance management
Required Skilled at working with external content agencies, freelance editors, and technical vendors to achieve project goals
