Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Yard Logistics (YL) / SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Consultant to design, implement, and support end-to-end yard logistics solutions. The consultant will be responsible for configuring SAP Yard Logistics, integrating it with SAP EWM, SAP TM, and SAP S/4HANA, and optimizing inbound and outbound yard processes such as vehicle check-in/check-out, dock management, transportation unit handling, and yard task execution. SAP Yard Logistics supports transportation units from check-in to check-out and integrates closely with SAP EWM for warehouse execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather business requirements and prepare functional specifications for Yard Logistics processes.
- Configure SAP Yard Logistics for:
- Yard Layout
- Yard Requests and Yard Orders
- Transportation Units (TU)
- Check-in and Check-out
- Gate and Checkpoint Management
- Dock Door Management
- Yard Task Management
- Queue Management
- Yard Monitoring and Yard Cockpit
- Configure and support SAP EWM warehouse processes integrated with Yard Logistics.
- Design and implement inbound and outbound yard operations.




- Configure warehouse visits, storage types, door determination, and transportation unit movements.
- Integrate SAP Yard Logistics with:
- SAP EWM
- SAP Transportation Management (TM)
- SAP S/4HANA
- SAP Dock Appointment Scheduling
- Support RF/Mobile transactions and Fiori applications for yard operations.
- Perform configuration, unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and production support.
- Prepare functional specifications for custom developments and enhancements.
- Work closely with ABAP developers on interfaces, reports, forms, and enhancements.
- Support cutover, go-live, hypercare, and post-production activities.
- Conduct user training and prepare process documentation.
- Analyze and resolve production issues while ensuring SLA compliance.

Required Skills
- Strong experience in SAP Yard Logistics (YL).
- Strong knowledge of SAP EWM (Embedded or Decentralized).
- Experience with:
- Transportation Units (TU)
- Yard Requests
- Yard Orders
- Yard Tasks
- Dock Door Determination
- Vehicle Check-in/Check-out
- Queue Management
- Yard Monitoring
- Knowledge of warehouse processes:
- Inbound
- Outbound
- Cross Docking
- Internal Warehouse Movements
- Experience integrating SAP Yard Logistics with SAP EWM using transportation-unit-based interfaces for check-in, door assignment, arrival/departure confirmations, and check-out processes.
- Understanding of IDocs, Web Services, APIs, and middleware integration.
- Experience with SAP Fiori applications.




- Knowledge of RF Framework and mobile warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with debugging functional issues and coordinating with technical teams.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAP TM integration.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations.
- Knowledge of SAP Dock Appointment Scheduling.
- Exposure to Warehouse Automation, RFID, IoT, Barcode Scanning, or AGV integration.
- SAP Activate methodology experience.
- Agile/Scrum project experience.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- SAP EWM and/or SAP S/4HANA certification is preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead SAP Yard Logistics implementation and rollout projects.
- Configure and optimize yard and warehouse business processes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to design logistics solutions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including MM, SD, TM, LE, and Basis.
- Support system integrations and third-party logistics solutions.
- Ensure high-quality solution delivery within project timelines.
- Provide production support and continuous process improvements
