Experience in a Hospital Radiology Department preferred Strong knowledge of AERB regulations and statutory compliance
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with AERB (Atomic Energy Regulatory Board) regulations and radiation safety standards
- Coordinate AERB Registration (RO Registration), licensing, renewals, and statutory documentation
- Manage equipment registration, validation, commissioning, and maintenance as per AERB guidelines
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Radiology Department from a radiation safety perspective
- Monitor radiation exposure levels and ensure staff and patient safety
- Conduct periodic quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) checks for radiology equipment
- Maintain radiation safety records, compliance reports, and audit documentation
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and calibration of radiology equipment
- Conduct radiation safety training and awareness programs for hospital staff
- Liaise with AERB, equipment vendors, service engineers, and regulatory authorities
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, hospital policies, and statutory requirements
