Job Title: QC Engineer/ Sr.

Engineer Location: Pan India (Site-Based) Employment Type: Full-time Experience Level: 2-5 Years About the Company:

DDE UHP is a leading provider of ultra-high purity utility systems for Semiconductor, Solar, and High-Tech industries, with solid expertise in turnkey solutions.

We are looking for a Detail-Oriented QC Engineer to ensure quality control across projects. The role involves conducting inspections, monitoring site activities, verifying materials and workmanship, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail, hands-on experience in inspection processes, and the ability to coordinate effectively with site and project teams to maintain quality at every stage.

Responsibilities:

•Conduct incoming material inspections and verification of piping materials, fittings, valves, supports, and consumables against approved specifications, MTCs, and project requirements.

•Perform stage-wise and final inspections of utility piping installation activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality plans, and client requirements.

•Monitor fabrication, fit-up, alignment, routing, and installation of piping systems including stainless steel, clean utility, process gas, UPW, CDA, nitrogen, vacuum, and chemical piping networks.

•Verify welding activities, welder qualifications, WPS/PQR compliance, joint traceability, weld mapping, and maintenance of welding quality records.

•Coordinate and witness NDT activities such as visual inspection, dye penetrant testing (PT), radiography (RT), and Boroscopy as applicable to project requirements.

•Ensure cleanliness requirements for semiconductor utility piping are maintained during fabrication, storage, installation,



flushing, and testing activities.

•Witness and document pressure testing, leak testing, pneumatic testing, hydrotesting, helium leak testing, flushing, passivation, and commissioning-related quality activities.

•Prepare and maintain inspection reports, test records, punch lists, NCRs, quality dossiers, and turnover documentation for client approval.

•Coordinate with construction, engineering, client, and subcontractor teams to resolve quality issues and ensure timely closure of inspection observations.

•Monitor compliance with approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements, Project Specifications, and applicable codes and standards.

•Verify piping identification, tagging, colour coding, labelling, and documentation requirements as per project and client standards.

•Conduct regular site surveillance and quality audits to identify non-conformities, recommend corrective actions, and ensure effective implementation.

•Review isometric drawings, P&IDs;, GA drawings, and spool drawings to ensure installation quality and conformity with design requirements.

•Ensure proper preservation, handling, storage, and contamination control of high-purity piping components used in semiconductor facilities.

•Support preparation of final handover documentation including mechanical completion dossiers, test packs, quality records, red-line markups, and as-built documentation.



Qualification and Skills:

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or related field

•2–5 years of experience in Quality Control, preferably in Solar, Semiconductor, EPC, or Process Equipment projects

•Good knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards

•Familiarity with ASME B31.3 (Process Piping), ASME Section IX (Welding Qualifications), SEMI and ASTM standards

•Experience in high-purity stainless steel piping (304L/316L) and orbital welding inspection

•Hands-on experience in material inspection, in-process checks, and final quality inspections

•Knowledge of semiconductor utility systems (UPW, CDA, N₂, Process Gas, Vacuum, Exhaust) and cleanroom installation practices

•Experience in pressure testing, leak testing procedures, and material traceability

•Ability to read and interpret P&IDs;, isometrics, and utility layouts

•Knowledge of NCR, CAPA, and root cause analysis (RCA) methodologies

•Strong documentation, reporting, and quality documentation management skills

•Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office

•Good coordination and communication skills with clients and project teams

•Ability to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and documentation control systems Note: If you’ve worked in semiconductor fabs, UHP gas systems, or cleanroom projects — that’s a big plus!

Experience with process piping, orbital welding inspection, and high-purity stainless steel systems will set you apart.
