Role Description This is a full time, on-site Production Manager role based in Chennai.

The Production

Manager will oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring that Dry filtration products (Filter Bags) are produced safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

Responsibilities include planning and scheduling production, managing shop floor teams, coordinating with procurement, quality, and maintenance, and monitoring output against targets. The role involves implementing process improvements, optimizing resource utilization, enforcing health, safety, and environmental policies, and maintaining accurate production documentation and reporting.

Manager will also support continuous improvement initiatives, contribute to capacity and investment planning, and collaborate with global stakeholders to align local operations with company objectives.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong production and operations management skills, including experience in planning, scheduling, workflow optimization, and resource allocation.
- Candidates should possess skills in manufacturing process improvement, such as lean principles, 5S, continuous improvement, and root cause analysis for operational issues.
- Candidates should possess quality and safety management skills, including knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ISO or similar standards, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Candidates should possess leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, performance management, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use production data and KPIs to drive decisions and improvements.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and documentation skills, including clear written and verbal communication and proficiency in using production and reporting tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile engineering, industrial management, or a related field; advanced qualifications in operations or manufacturing management are an advantage.
- Experience in filtration, process equipment, or industrial manufacturing environments, preferably within any of Micronics’ key markets, will be highly beneficial.
