Role Description The Production Manager – Foundry will oversee day-to-day foundry operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production of castings.

Responsibilities include planning and monitoring production schedules, coordinating melting, moulding, pouring, and finishing activities, and driving continuous improvement in processes and resource utilization. The role will manage shop-floor teams, ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements, and collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality departments for process optimization and problem solving.





The Production

Manager will analyze production data, address bottlenecks, implement corrective actions, and support implementation of lean and cost-reduction initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based at the JS Autocast facility in Coimbatore.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong expertise in Foundry Management and Process Integration to oversee end-to-end production activities and optimize workflows.
- Candidates should possess solid technical skills in Casting and Metal Casting to manage melting, moulding, pouring, and finishing operations effectively.
- Candidates should possess a sound understanding of Metallurgy to ensure material properties, quality standards, and performance requirements are met.
- Candidates should possess experience in production planning, shop-floor supervision, and continuous improvement in a heavy manufacturing or foundry environment.
- Candidates should possess robust leadership, communication, and team management skills, with the ability to train, motivate, and develop workforce capabilities.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of quality systems, safety standards, and lean manufacturing practices; familiarity with ISO/TS 16949 or similar standards is beneficial.
- A diploma or degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred; relevant industry experience will be highly valued.
