Production Manager – Seafood Processing

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Production Manager to lead our seafood processing operations. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in processing Shrimps, Cephalopods (Squid, Cuttlefish, Octopus), Fish, and Value-Added Seafood Products, with a solid background in managing modern freezing technologies and large production teams in an export-oriented seafood processing facility.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and oversee day-to-day production activities to achieve production targets.

Manage processing operations for shrimps, cephalopods, fish, and value-added seafood products.

Supervise freezing operations, including IQF, Tunnel Freezers, Plate Freezers, Blast Freezers, and Cold Storage.

Ensure compliance with customer specifications, food safety standards, and export quality requirements.

Optimize production yield, reduce wastage, and improve operational efficiency.

Lead and motivate production supervisors and shop-floor teams to maximize productivity.

Coordinate with Procurement, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Maintenance, Stores, and Dispatch departments to ensure smooth plant operations.

Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Prepare and review daily production reports, yield reports, productivity reports, and other operational MIS.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives focusing on quality, productivity, cost optimization, and food safety.





Ensure adherence to workplace safety, hygiene, and environmental standards.

Candidate Profile

Minimum 10 years of experience in seafood processing, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.

Proven expertise in processing Shrimps, Squid, Cuttlefish, Octopus, Fish, and Value-Added Seafood Products.

Hands-on experience in operating and managing IQF, Tunnel Freezers, Plate Freezers, Blast Freezers, and Cold Storage.

Strong knowledge of production planning, yield management, manpower deployment, and process optimization.

Good understanding of seafood export standards and customer quality requirements.

Experience handling production teams in high-volume seafood processing plants.

Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/Production Management Systems will be an added advantage.

Preferred Qualification

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Fisheries Science, Food Technology, Marine Biology, Food Processing, Industrial Fisheries, or a related discipline.

Additional certifications in Food Safety or Production Management will be an advantage.
