The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end confectionery manufacturing operations while ensuring efficient production planning, quality compliance, cost optimization, and timely delivery. The role requires robust operational expertise along with hands-on experience in New Product Development (NPD), process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to successfully commercialize new products and drive continuous operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, manage, and oversee daily production activities to achieve production targets and operational efficiency.

- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, raw materials, and production resources.

- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely execution while maintaining quality and food safety standards.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce wastage, and optimize manufacturing costs.

- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, and other food safety and quality standards.

- Lead production planning, inventory coordination, and process optimization to ensure smooth factory operations.

- Collaborate with R&D;, Quality, Procurement, and Sales teams for New Product Development (NPD)



and successful commercialization.

- Conduct product trials, process validation, and scale-up of new products from pilot to commercial production.

- Monitor production performance, analyze operational data, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.

- Supervise and develop production teams, ensuring adherence to SOPs, safety, hygiene, and operational best practices.

- Support internal and external audits while maintaining production documentation and compliance records.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Food Technology, Food Engineering, Dairy Technology, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.

- Additional certifications in Food Safety, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Operations Management will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 815 years of experience in confectionery, bakery, chocolate, candy, or FMCG food manufacturing.

- Proven experience in production operations, process improvement, factory management, and New Product Development (NPD).

- Experience in leading production teams and managing end-to-end manufacturing processes in a high-volume production environment.
