Product Manager

Job Title: Product Manager Hospital Information Systems (HIS/HMIS) & Healthcare SaaS

Location: Chennai (Preferred) / Hybrid

About the Role

ViFin is building Checspro.ai, an AI-powered Insurance Claims Management Platform for hospitals. We are looking for a Product Manager who has designed and delivered Hospital Information Systems and can lead product strategy, roadmap, and execution while integrating hospital workflows with insurance claim management.

Experience:

3-5 years in Product Management, Business Analysis, or Solution Design with hands-on experience in designing and implementing Hospital Information Management Systems (HIS/HMIS).

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy

- Own the product vision and roadmap.
- Translate business requirements into detailed product specifications.
- Prioritize features based on customer value and business impact.
- Work closely with the CEO and leadership team on product direction.

Product Design

- Design end-to-end hospital workflows including:
- Patient Registration
- ADT (Admission, Discharge & Transfer)
- OP/IP Billing
- EMR/EHR
- Pharmacy
- Laboratory
- Radiology
- OT Management
- Insurance Desk/Credit Cell
- Corporate Billing
- Revenue Cycle Management
- Build scalable workflow diagrams and user journeys.
- Create wireframes and prototypes.

Integration

Hands-on experience integrating with:

- HIS/HMIS
- Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
- Radiology Information Systems (RIS)
- PACS
- Payment Gateways
- WhatsApp APIs
- Email Systems
- HL7/FHIR
- NHCX
- REST APIs





Product Execution

- Prepare PRDs
- User Stories
- Acceptance Criteria
- Sprint Planning
- Product Backlog
- Release Planning
- UAT
- Go-live Management

Customer Interaction

- Conduct workshops with hospitals.
- Gather requirements from doctors, nursing staff, finance, and insurance departments.
- Convert customer feedback into product improvements.

Team Collaboration

Work closely with

Mandatory Skills

- Exprience in Hospital Information Systems.
- Experience in at least one leading HIS implementation.
- Deep understanding of hospital operations.
- Solid SQL knowledge.
- API integration experience.
- Agile/Scrum.
- Product Management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence).
- UML, BPMN, workflow design.
- Excellent documentation skills.

Knowledge of:

- IRDAI Health Insurance Processes
- NABH Standards
- ABDM & NHCX
- HL7/FHIR interoperability
- AI-based workflow automation

Educational Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech (Computer Science, IT or related)
- MBA (Preferred)

Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate has personally participated in the design and implementation of one or more Hospital Information Systems, understands both the clinical and financial workflows of hospitals, and can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and engineering teams. Experience with healthcare interoperability standards, insurance claims workflows, and SaaS product development will be a significant advantage.
