Role Purpose The Regional Procurement Lead North East Cluster is responsible for endtoend procurement operations for Raw Materials (RM), Packaging Materials (PM), MROs, and indirect spends across the region. The role ensures material availability, inventory optimization, supplier development, and governance, while partnering with regional leadership to drive excellence, safety, quality, and ethical practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Regional Procurement & Team Leadership
- Lead and manage the North East regional procurement team, ensuring effective execution of procurement plans and alignment with central sourcing strategies.
- Drive capability building, performance management, and a strong culture of ownership and collaboration within the team.
- Actively participate as a member of the Regional Leadership Team,
contributing to business decisions and strategic initiatives.
2. RM / PM Availability & Supply Assurance
- Ensure continuous availability of RM and PM to support manufacturing and business continuity across the region.
- Work closely with plants, material planning, and central teams to mitigate supply risks and manage demand variability.
- Support and implement new sourcing initiatives and regional projects related to RM, PM, and spares.
3. MRO & Indirect Spend Management
- Lead regional sourcing, negotiation, and contracting for MROs and indirect materials.
- Identify cost optimization opportunities while ensuring service levels, quality, and compliance.
- Drive alternative vendor development, particularly for MROs, to reduce dependency risks and improve competitiveness.
4. Inventory & Obsolescence Management
- Ensure robust inventory management practices across RM, PM, spares, and MROs.
- Monitor inventory norms, coverage, and slowmoving / nonmoving items.
- Drive initiatives to reduce obsolescence and excess inventory, working closely with plants and central teams.
5. Supplier & Project Management
- Lead and support regional sourcing projects, localization initiatives, and supplier capability enhancement.
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams on supplier approvals, trials, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure effective regional mould management, including availability, maintenance, utilization, and governance.
6. Governance, Ethics & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with Company Code of Conduct, procurement policies, and statutory requirements.
- Promote a culture of ethical sourcing, transparency, safety, and quality across employees and vendors.
- Ensure adherence to approved suppliers, contracts, and sourcing guidelines.
