Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced process design engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the design, commissioning, operation, or optimisation of effluent treatment plants (ETP) and water treatment plants (WTP) . The ideal candidate should possess strong process engineering knowledge and be capable of developing treatment schemes, troubleshooting plant operations, and supporting project execution from concept through commissioning.

Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Design

- Design and develop ETP, WTP, and wastewater recycling systems based on customer requirements.
- Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs;), and process design calculations.
- Perform equipment sizing for tanks, pumps, clarifiers, filters, dosing systems, and other treatment equipment.
- Select appropriate treatment technologies based on wastewater characteristics.

Technical Support
- Evaluate customer wastewater analysis reports and recommend suitable treatment solutions.
- Conduct process calculations, mass balance, and water balance studies.
- Support the sales team by preparing technical proposals and process descriptions.
- Participate in customer technical discussions and presentations.

Project Execution
- Provide process support during engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning,



and performance trials.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and automation teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Review vendor drawings and technical documents for process compliance.
- Prepare commissioning protocols and operating manuals.

Plant Troubleshooting & Optimisation
- Troubleshoot existing ETP/WTP systems to improve treatment performance.
- Identify process bottlenecks and recommend optimisation measures.
- Monitor plant performance and recommend corrective actions.
- Support customers during plant commissioning and stabilisation.

Documentation
- Prepare process design reports, calculations, operating manuals, SOPs, and commissioning reports.
- Maintain project documentation and technical records.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and applicable standards.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, or mechanical engineering.

Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in:
- Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP)
- Water Treatment Plants (WTP)
- Industrial wastewater treatment
- Water recycling systems

Experience in RO, UF, MBR, MBBR, SBR, DAF, clarifiers, filtration systems, ion exchange, & ZLD systems will be preferred. Exposure to MVR or evaporation technologies will be an added advantage.

Technical Skills

- Strong understanding of physical, chemical, and biological wastewater treatment processes.




- Ability to interpret wastewater analysis reports and recommend treatment schemes.
- Knowledge of industrial wastewater from automotive, metal finishing, engineering, chemical, pharmaceutical, and electronics industries.
- Experience in preparing:
- Process Flow Diagrams (PFD)
- Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID;)
- Process calculations
- Equipment sizing calculations
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of industrial instrumentation and PLC-controlled process plants.
