Role Description The Process Design Engineer – Water and Wastewater Treatment is a full-time, on-site role based in Jaipur. This role involves designing and optimizing treatment processes for water and wastewater plants, including preparation of process flow diagrams, mass balance calculations, and equipment sizing. The engineer will develop detailed technical proposals, design documents, and specifications, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for project execution.

Daily responsibilities include reviewing site data, conducting feasibility studies,



selecting appropriate treatment technologies, and ensuring designs comply with relevant standards and regulatory requirements. The role also includes supporting commissioning, troubleshooting process issues, interacting with clients and stakeholders, and contributing to continuous improvement of design tools and methodologies.

Qualifications

Strong process engineering skills in water and wastewater treatment, including process design, mass balance, hydraulic calculations, and equipment sizing.

Knowledge of treatment technologies such as conventional and advanced filtration, biological treatment, disinfection, sludge management, and reuse systems.

Proficiency in engineering design tools and software (e.g., CAD tools, process simulation or calculation software, Excel-based models).

Understanding of relevant national and international standards, codes, and regulatory requirements in the water and wastewater sector.

Ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs;, specifications, and site data to develop accurate and practical designs.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills for process optimization and performance improvement.

Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience in public water infrastructure projects, ESCO models, or IoT/AI-enabled water management solutions is an advantage.
