SilicoScientia is a deep-tech company based in Bengaluru working at the intersection of AI, drug discovery, and healthcare. We operate across three fronts — contract research (CRO), in-house R&D;, and SaaS — serving pharma, biotech, and academic research teams.

Our flagship product, SilicoXplore, is a cloud-based comprehensive drug discovery platform that brings molecular docking, molecular dynamics, NGS analysis, homology modeling, AI-assisted drug discovery, and cheminformatics workflows into a single setting. We're now scaling it from a research-oriented application into a production-grade, multi-tenant SaaS platform — and we're looking for an experienced consultant to guide that transformation. The Role

Define our target architecture, drive the migration to cloud-native AWS, and level up the team's engineering practices. You'll work directly with the founders and developers. What You'll Do

Design a secure, multi-tenant SaaS architecture with clear service boundaries

Design and implement AWS infrastructure, containers, and IaC

Architect async job scheduling and worker infrastructure for CPU/GPU-intensive scientific pipelines





Build CI/CD pipelines and dev/staging/prod environments with monitoring and alerting

Design authentication, RBAC, and secrets management; review platform security

Optimize the database for multi-tenancy, performance, backup, and DR

Set coding standards, run design reviews, and mentor developers What We're Looking For

10+ years in software engineering, including large-scale SaaS and distributed systems

Python (Flask/FastAPI), REST API design, Celery, SQLAlchemy

AWS (ECS/EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager), Docker, Terraform

PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI, Linux, Nginx

OAuth2, JWT, RBAC, secure API design

Nice to have: bioinformatics or scientific computing, HPC/GPU workloads, AI/ML infrastructure, Kubernetes. Deliverables
