The role is part of the AI Sidekick team and works across multi-cloud environments.

Company: Equinix Role: Principal Machine Learning Engineer Location: Bengaluru | Hybrid Experience PhD with 5+ years, Master's with 6+ years, or Bachelor's with 7+ years of experience

Experience in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field

Experience building and deploying production-grade ML systems

Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: GCP, Azure, or AWS Qualification PhD, Master's, or Bachelor's degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field Responsibilities Design, build, deploy, and scale machine learning and generative AI systems

Translate advanced ML and LLM capabilities into reliable, production-grade solutions

Collaborate with Generative AI Center of Excellence leaders and business stakeholders

Evaluate buy versus build decisions for generative AI applications

Build and integrate agent-based workflows

Develop end-to-end ML pipelines from ingestion to monitoring

Architect LLM-powered systems across multiple cloud platforms

Optimize workflows for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency

Implement MLOps best practices

Deploy and manage models in production

Conduct A/B testing and measure performance improvements

Develop features, run experiments, analyze results, and turn insights into improvements Additional Responsibilities Work closely with the AI Sidekick team and business teams

Use deep learning frameworks for implementation





Containerize ML services and deploy them with cloud-native infrastructure

Apply NLP fundamentals in solution development Nice To Have Build and deploy classical ML models

Build and deploy NLP applications such as sentiment analysis, summarization, Q&A;, chatbots, and information retrieval
