Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Press Shop Production Supervisor to manage day-to-day press shop production activities. The candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets, managing manpower, ensuring quality and safety standards, handling dies and tooling, troubleshooting production issues, and driving continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

- Plan, monitor, and control daily press shop production activities.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per the production plan and schedule.
- Monitor machine utilization, productivity, rejection, and rework.
- Ensure production is carried out as per approved process specifications and work instructions.
- Coordinate with Production Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and other departments for smooth operations.
- Maintain daily production reports and shift-wise production records.

Team Leadership

- Supervise and manage press shop operators and helpers.
- Allocate manpower and work responsibilities according to production requirements.
- Guide, train, and motivate team members to achieve production and quality targets.
- Ensure proper shift handover and effective communication between teams.
- Monitor team performance and resolve shop-floor issues.

Die & Tooling Management

- Manage and monitor press dies, tools, fixtures, and related tooling.
- Ensure proper die setting, installation, and changeover activities.
- Coordinate with the Tool Room and Maintenance teams for die repair and maintenance.
- Monitor die and tool condition to minimize breakdowns and production interruptions.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of dies and tooling.

Safety & Compliance





- Ensure strict compliance with company safety policies and statutory requirements.
- Promote safe working practices across the press shop.
- Ensure operators use appropriate PPE and follow safety procedures.
- Identify unsafe conditions and take corrective actions.
- Maintain workplace discipline and support 5S and housekeeping activities.

Troubleshooting

- Identify and resolve day-to-day production and process-related problems.
- Coordinate with Maintenance and Tool Room teams during machine or die-related issues.
- Analyze causes of production breakdowns, defects, rejection, and downtime.
- Take corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurring problems.

Process Improvement

- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and machine utilization.
- Implement continuous improvement, Kaizen, 5S, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Reduce rejection, rework, downtime, and material wastage.
- Support process optimization and cost-reduction activities.
- Monitor and improve overall press shop efficiency.

Educational Qualification

- ITI / Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or a relevant engineering discipline.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in Press Shop Production / Sheet Metal / Stamping / Manufacturing Industry.

Preferred Candidate

- Candidates with experience in press shop, sheet metal, stamping, or automotive component manufacturing will be preferred.
- Should have good knowledge of press shop operations, dies, tooling, production planning, and manpower management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are required.
- Candidates who can work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment will be preferred.
