Department: Marketing
Location: Mumbai, On-site
Type: Full-time
Reports to: Director About the Role
Journey is looking for a PR & Content Manager, based in Mumbai, to lead our day-to-day media relations and content output for our US, UK, Europe, Australia, and Canada markets. You'll execute the PR strategy set by leadership, build and maintain relationships with press contacts, and manage content across owned and earned channels — including press materials, the content calendar, and product listing/SEO copy on our website. This is a hands-on, in-house role that combines writing with coordination, working closely with leadership and internal teams.
Since you'll be representing the brand to these audiences and press, native or near-native fluency in English is essential. We also want someone who treats AI as an everyday collaborator — using it to move faster and think bigger, not as a shortcut around quality. Responsibilities
Execute the company's PR strategy: media outreach, press releases, announcements, and day-to-day press relationships
Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets across our core markets (US, UK, Europe, Australia, and Canada)
Plan and manage the content calendar across owned channels (blog, email, website)
Write and maintain product listing copy and SEO-friendly website content, keeping tone, quality, and search performance consistent across pages
Write and edit press releases, talking points, bylines, and content for founders and leadership
Coordinate with in-house designers, videographers, and other internal teams to keep output consistent and on-brand
Monitor media coverage and brand mentions; flag opportunities and risks to leadership
Track and report on PR and content performance (coverage secured, engagement, reach) against clear metrics
Support leadership on messaging and talking points for launches, announcements,
and press moments
Use AI tools to speed up research, drafting, and iteration — from first drafts of press materials to product copy variants — so more time goes into judgment, relationships, and polish What We're Looking For
Native or near-native fluency in English (written and spoken) — you'll be the voice of the brand to press and audiences in the US, UK, Europe, Australia, and Canada, so tone, grammar, and nuance need to hold up
3-5 years of experience in PR, communications, or content, ideally with some agency or in-house press experience
Experience in the tech industry, or a genuine passion for tech products and how they're covered in the press An existing network of media and press contacts in these markets, or a demonstrated ability to build one quickly
Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone across formats and channels — press releases, product listings, and SEO content alike
Working knowledge of SEO best practices (keywords, on-page optimization) for website and product content
Strong organizational skills — comfortable juggling a content calendar, press outreach, and multiple stakeholders at once
Valuable news judgment and an instinct for what makes a story
Comfortable tracking metrics and reporting on what's working
Fluent with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) as part of your everyday workflow — for research, first drafts, and idea generation — while still applying your own judgment, editing, and fact-checking to everything that goes out
Comfortable working hours that overlap with US/UK/Europe/Australia/Canada time zones as needed Nice to Have
Existing relationships with tier-1 tech publications and journalists covering the US, UK, Europe, Australia, or Canada
Experience building a brand's voice from an early stage
Prior experience working with or within a tech startup
Experience writing e-commerce product listings or catalog copy
