We are seeking an experienced CDIO Office PMO Lead to establish and lead the Project Management Office (PMO) within the CDIO Office. This senior leadership role will oversee enterprise portfolio governance, strategic planning, executive reporting, and delivery assurance across digital and IT transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will partner with senior executives and business leaders to drive governance, improve portfolio visibility, manage risks and budgets, and support informed decision-making.
Skill / Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Management, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in PMO, Program Management, Portfolio Management, Strategic Planning, or Enterprise Transformation.
- Proven experience establishing or leading PMO functions in large, complex organizations.
- Experience managing enterprise digital transformation, cloud, applications, cybersecurity, data, or IT modernization initiatives.
- Industry experience in EPC, Engineering, Infrastructure, Construction, Energy, Industrial, or similar asset-intensive environments is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of portfolio governance, PMO frameworks, stage-gate methodologies, and executive reporting.
- Experience with budget management, forecasting, financial tracking, and business case development.
- Expertise in risk, issue, dependency, and stakeholder management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage multiple strategic initiatives.
- PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, MSP, MoP, Agile, SAFe, ITIL, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
Job Responsibilities
- Establish and lead the CDIO Office PMO, including governance frameworks, policies, templates, reporting standards, and delivery controls.
- Manage enterprise-wide IT and digital portfolios, ensuring strategic alignment, prioritization, and governance.
- Lead portfolio planning, demand management, initiative intake, assessment, prioritization, and quarterly portfolio reviews.
- Define governance standards, stage-gate processes, steering committee structures, and project delivery practices.
- Prepare executive dashboards and reports covering project status, milestones, financial performance, risks, issues, dependencies, and benefits realization.
- Monitor portfolio budgets, forecasts, funding requests, cost variances, and commercial performance.
- Maintain centralized risk, issue, assumption, and dependency registers while ensuring timely mitigation and escalation.
- Track program advantages, business outcomes, and value realization across strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate governance activities across business units, subsidiaries, and delivery partners.
- Support executive planning, portfolio reviews, resource planning, and vendor governance.
- Develop and continuously improve PMO standards, templates, and governance processes.
- Coach project and program teams on governance, planning, and reporting best practices.
