Role Description This is a full time, on-site role for a PLC Programmer and Robotics Engineer based at Koldpack’s manufacturing facilities in Ahmedabad. The role involves designing, programming, testing, and commissioning PLC-based control systems for filling, capping, and packaging lines, as well as configuring and integrating robotic systems for material handling and automated processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing control logic, HMI interfaces, and communication networks, troubleshooting electrical and automation issues on the shop floor, and optimizing machine performance for safety, reliability, and throughput.

The PLC Programmer and Robotics Engineer will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and production teams to support new installations,



upgrades, and customer-specific customizations, and prepare technical documentation, user manuals, and training materials. The role also includes providing on-site support during factory acceptance tests, site commissioning, and after-sales service when required.

Qualifications Candidates should possess strong PLC programming skills (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar), including ladder logic, function blocks, and structured text.

Candidates should possess robotics and motion control skills, such as robot integration, path programming, servo drives, and sensors for automated packaging and handling systems.

Candidates should possess industrial automation skills, including SCADA/HMI development, industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP), and control panel integration.

Candidates should possess electrical and instrumentation skills, including reading and creating wiring diagrams, selecting field devices, and ensuring compliance with safety and standards.

Candidates should possess mechanical and process understanding related to filling, capping, conveying, and packaging equipment to translate process requirements into control strategies.

Candidates should possess strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving automation and robotics issues on-site.

Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and support training and customer interactions.
