We are looking for a passionate and experienced Physical Design Faculty to deliver high-quality corporate-level offline classroom training and mentor aspiring Physical Design Engineers.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver offline classroom training on the complete ASIC Physical Design flow (RTL to GDSII).
- Conduct hands-on laboratory sessions using industry-standard EDA tools.
- Develop course content, lab manuals, assignments, and assessments.
- Mentor students on projects, internships, and placement preparation.
- Evaluate student performance and provide technical guidance.
- Stay updated with the latest semiconductor technologies, methodologies, and EDA tools.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to continuously enhance the curriculum.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong understanding of the complete RTL-to-GDSII Physical Design flow.
- Floorplanning
- Power Planning
- Placement & Optimization
- Clock Tree Synthesis (CTS)
- Routing
- Physical Verification (DRC/LVS)
- Static Timing Analysis (STA)
- IR Drop & Electromigration (EM) Analysis
- Timing Closure
- Low Power Design Methodologies
- TCL Scripting and Linux Shell Scripting





EDA Tool Experience Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:

- Cadence Innovus
- Synopsys ICC2
- Synopsys Fusion Compiler
- PrimeTime
- Calibre
- Other industry-standard Physical Design tools

Qualification

Mandatory

- M.Tech in VLSI, Microelectronics, Electronics, or a related specialization from a reputed institute (IITs, NITs, IIITs, Central Universities, or other premier institutions).

Preferred

- Ph.D. in VLSI, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related field.
- Candidates with semiconductor industry experience will be given preference.

Experience

- 3–10 years of relevant experience in ASIC Physical Design.
- Prior teaching, mentoring, or corporate training experience is preferred.
- Experience working on advanced technology nodes is an added advantage.
