Background:

A polished ex-investment banker (think ex-Kotak/Axis/Avendus/JM). Needs 2-3 years of grinding pitchbooks, modeling, and pretending to enjoy due-diligence calls. Must understand valuations, deal structuring, capital raising, and regulatory pathways.

Experience:

- Has worked on mid-market M&A; or IPO mandates
- Solid network with merchant bankers, law firms, regulators
- Can build financial models with more tabs than sense
- Comfortable navigating SEBI, ROC, merchant bankers, and your midnight whims

Budget:

₹12 lakh – ₹15 lakh CTC per year

Academics

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Commerce / Economics

(BBA, B.Com, BA Eco, etc. — whatever made them cry over time value of money.)

- Mandatory:





MBA in Finance OR PGDM in Finance from a decent school.

- Run all IPO readiness, documentation coordination, and advisor selection
- Evaluate M&A; targets—financial, operational, and cultural fit
- Run valuations, build deal notes, prep investment committee memos
- Manage bankers so they don’t overcharge you for their “expertise”
- Run scenario modelling and structure deals like a chess player on caffeine
