About Ethereal Labs

Ethereal Labs is building ambitious consumer products at the intersection of technology, entertainment, storytelling, and gaming.

We are looking for a People Operations & Talent Manager to help us build the team, people systems, and culture behind the company.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to build the people function from the ground up—not simply maintain existing HR processes.

What You’ll Own

Lead end-to-end hiring across technology, product, design, creative, and business roles.

Identify, engage, interview, and close strong candidates.

Build structured hiring, interview, evaluation, and onboarding processes.

Manage employee documentation, attendance, leave, payroll coordination, policies, and compliance.

Create a thoughtful onboarding and employee experience.

Partner closely with the founders and team leads on workforce planning and people decisions.

Build internal systems that improve communication, accountability, and team effectiveness.

Plan team activities, off-sites, engagement initiatives, and cultural programs.

Help build and nurture a wider community of creators, writers, filmmakers, and contributors.

Become the dependable point of contact for people-related questions and concerns.





What We’re Looking For

2.5–4 years of experience in talent acquisition, people operations, HR, or a similar role.

Strong experience managing recruitment from sourcing through offer closure.

Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.

High ownership with the ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment.

Strong judgment, attention to detail, discretion, and empathy.

Comfortable building systems and processes from scratch.

Able to balance speed with high standards.

Prior experience in a startup or early-stage company is preferred.
