About The Role The India Payroll Processing Specialist is responsible for accurately processing payroll for employees in compliance with company policies and government regulations. This role requires attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of payroll procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Process payroll for employees on a regular basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This includes calculating salaries, overtime, bonuses, deductions and full and final settlement of resigned employees etc.
- Maintain employee payroll data accurately in the payroll system, including current hires, terminations, changes in salary or perks, and timekeeping records.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal regulations and tax laws related to salary processing. Prepare and submit payroll taxes and reports accurately and on time.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues in a timely manner. Address employee queries regarding payroll matters professionally and promptly.
- Generate payroll reports as needed for management review, budgeting, and auditing purposes. Provide insights and analysis on payroll data as required.
- Maintain accurate and organized payroll records and files, ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Continuously evaluate payroll processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Implement changes as approved.

Qualifications, Experience/Competencies

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3-9 years of relevant experience and working as a payroll processor.




- Strong understanding of payroll accounting, regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ready to work as an individual contributor.
