HCG Hospital, Borivali is looking for a compassionate and organised Patient Care Coordinator to be the primary point of contact for patients and their attendants during their hospital stay. The ideal candidate ensures a smooth, supportive, and transparent experience from admission through discharge.

Role & responsibilities

- Receive patients cordially when they arrive on the floor and ensure a welcoming experience.
- Check and guide patients on their payment mode Cash, Company, Insurance, or ECHS and assist accordingly.
- Process OT clearance for patients scheduled for surgery.
- Interact with Consultants and Resident Doctors to address queries raised by patients or their attendants.
- Type and issue letters, certificates, and any related documents as required.
- Coordinate with the Admission Desk, Maintenance, and Housekeeping departments as needed; manage room updating and collection of differential amounts during discharge in coordination with Front Office and Billing.
- Provide daily approximate bill updates to patient attendants in coordination with the Billing department.




- Follow up with patients/attendants for 100% deposit of balance amounts; record commitments in the register and escalate pending cases to the Administrator.
- On doctor's discharge advice, coordinate with the nurse to indent/return medicines and forward the activity card to the Billing department.
- Follow up on final bill readiness for cash patients and guide them through the settlement process.
- For insurance patients, coordinate with the relevant department on TPA clearance and guide the patient to settle the outstanding balance.
- Distribute patient feedback forms, collect duly filled forms, and submit them to the Quality department.

Education & eligibility

- Graduate in any discipline (Healthcare Management / Hospital Administration preferred).
- 3 4 years of experience in a patient care or hospital coordination role.
- Positive communication skills in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
- Proficient in MS Office and hospital management software.
