We are looking for a Painting inspector (7 to 8 years experience) to join our team. As a Painting Inspector, he will be responsible for project progress, invoicing, tracking project resources,

provide regular project updates related to the paint related activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Summarize the coating specification in line with contract requirements covering all activities from Engineering to commissioning.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with RCM, Project Head and HO team to provide assistance and technical support.
- Prepare the coating schedule in line with contract requirements.
- Monitor and control all Contractor and Subcontractor Inspection Activities (Surface preparation Blasting and Painting to ensure and check abrasive, surface profile, coating,

environmental and Perform test such as Holiday test, Adhesion test (after the coating process will quantify the strength of the bond between substrate & coating).
- To review & verify with Client that all works are completed successfully and ensure that Reports/Records are maintained as per Client Specification and Fabrication Procedure.
- Controlling and evaluating all the Quality Control activities during all the painting activities.
- To control Calibration Interval, Calibration Status and In-house Calibration of Equipment .
- To review & compile all Field Blasting and Painting Record for Manufacturing Data Report

(MDR) or Project Documentation for turn over document to Client
- Update and review planned vs actual project progress activity wise.
- Prepare the list of required materials like paints, equipments, inspection instruments etc.
- Prepare short and long-term resource allocation plans based on input from all key players

and team members.
- Gather actual data, update project schedule and develop reliable schedule forecast with

support from project team.




- Knowledge of required code or standards.
- Executing the jobs as per the drawing and Standards.
- Manpower Control and allocating manpower to the respective jobs.
- Preparing Method statement and Execution methodology in line with contract requirements.
- Coordinating with client and Quality Departments, Planning, allocation and monitoring of manpower, material, equipment and all other resources to the Site.
- Coordination with Client and Subcontractors in resolving technical problems.
- Issues the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, write and send to Quality Control Supervisor non-conformances reports.
- Control of storage and certification of consumables.
- Performs qualifications of coating processes.
- Checks surface preparation.
- Checks and records atmospheric conditions prior to starting of painting operations.
- Carries out wet and dry film thickness checks.
- Monitors observations of the correct coating cycles.
- Verifies the correct colour-coding and painting.
- Performs visuals inspections.
- Performs adhesion testing.
- Performs penetration testing.
- Evaluates impact testing.
- Performs visual checks after blasting.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelors degree
- 7 to 8 years of relevant experience for Bachelor’s Degree (Mechanical), 10+ years ofrelevant experience for Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Either; NACE Level II coating inspector or TWI/BGAS grade 2 painting inspector.
- Familiar with codes ANSI, SSPC, ASTM, NACE, AWWA, ISO, AS etc
- Prior experience in coating activity for Tank Fabrication and pipeline works etc.
