Role Description The Outdoor Catering Business Development Manager will lead and expand the hotel’s outdoor catering segment by identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with corporate and private clients, and driving revenue growth. Daily responsibilities include prospecting and meeting potential clients, pitching catering solutions, preparing proposals and quotations, and coordinating with the operations and culinary teams to ensure seamless execution of events. The role involves conducting market research, tracking competitor activities, and developing strategies to position Park Elanza’s outdoor catering as a preferred choice in the Chennai market.

The manager will also monitor customer satisfaction, collect feedback after events, and collaborate with management on sales targets and promotional initiatives.



This is a full-time, on-site role based at Park Elanza in Chennai.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong business development and sales skills, including client acquisition, relationship management, and negotiation.

Candidates should possess event and catering management skills, such as coordinating logistics, understanding food & beverage offerings, and aligning operational teams for successful execution.

Candidates should possess communication and interpersonal skills, including clear verbal and written communication, presentation abilities, and professional client-facing conduct.

Candidates should possess planning and analytical skills, including market research, pipeline management, and basic reporting on sales performance and forecasts.

Candidates should possess organizational and time management skills to handle multiple leads, proposals, and events within tight timelines.

Relevant experience in hospitality, catering, restaurants, or events, preferably in a business development or sales role, is highly beneficial.

A bachelor’s degree or diploma in hospitality management, business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules, and familiarity with the Chennai market will be an advantage.
