Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database (DB) Expert to support the SIEM rollout program by enabling secure logging, database activity monitoring, and integration of Oracle databases with enterprise SIEM platforms.

The role requires close collaboration with application teams (Java/.NET), security teams, and SOC to ensure end-to-end visibility of database activities, application transactions, and security events.

Preferred candidate profile

- Enable Oracle database auditing (Unified Auditing) to capture critical security events and transactional activities
- Integrate Oracle DB audit logs with SIEM platforms (ArcSight) for centralized monitoring and threat detection
- Design and implement SIEM use cases for privileged access, unauthorized data access, SQL injection, and anomalous queries
- Perform log normalization and correlation across database, application (Java/.NET),



and infrastructure layers
- Collaborate with Java and .NET teams to align application logging with SIEM requirements
- Establish end-to-end traceability between application transactions and database activity
- Identify and remediate database security gaps, including misconfigurations and excessive privileges
- Implement database security controls (least privilege access, encryption, audit policies)
- Tune database auditing and SIEM ingestion to minimize performance overhead while maximizing visibility
- Perform feasibility for encryption mechanisms (TDE, data masking on table level for PII data)
- Secure database configurations aligned with industry standards and policies
