Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and patient-focused Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing vision problems, prescribing corrective lenses, detecting ocular diseases, and providing high-quality eye care services while working closely with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive eye examinations, including visual acuity, refraction, and binocular vision assessments.

- Prescribe spectacles and contact lenses based on clinical findings.

- Conduct subjective and objective refraction.

- Evaluate and manage common ocular conditions within the scope of optometry.

- Perform slit-lamp examination and anterior segment evaluation.

- Measure intraocular pressure using appropriate tonometry techniques.

- Conduct fundus evaluation and identify retinal abnormalities.

- Perform diagnostic tests such as:

- Visual Field Analysis

- Fundus Photography

- Keratometry

- Corneal Topography

- A-Scan Biometry

- Dry Eye Assessment

- Color Vision Testing

- Assist ophthalmologists with patient evaluation, diagnosis, and pre-operative/post-operative care.

- Educate patients on eye health, spectacle use, contact lens care, and preventive eye care.

- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.





- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of ophthalmic equipment.

- Adhere to infection control protocols and hospital policies.

- Participate in vision screening camps and community outreach programs when required.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Optometry (B.Optom/B.Sc. Optometry).

- Valid registration with the relevant Optometry Council (where applicable).

- 0–3+ years of clinical experience (Freshers may apply if applicable).

- Solid knowledge of refraction, binocular vision, contact lenses, and ocular disease detection.

Required Skills

- Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.

- Strong clinical and diagnostic abilities.

- Attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Good time management and organizational skills.

- Basic computer knowledge and electronic medical record (EMR) documentation.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with ophthalmic diagnostic instruments.

- Knowledge of low vision assessment and vision therapy is an added advantage.

- Experience in hospital or optical practice is preferred.

Working Conditions

- Full-time position.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
